Los Angeles Disaster Response Team

The Los Angeles Disaster Response Team (LADRT) is a specialized unit of trained wildland firefighters, state-licensed EMTs, and disaster response professionals dedicated to protecting Los Angeles’ wildland parks and the communities that surround them. With increasing wildfire threats, prolonged droughts, and rising temperatures, LADRT was formed to meet the urgent need for a rapid, community-based response force.

Equipped with brush trucks, wildland gear, and advanced medical supplies, our team focuses on fire suppression, early hazard detection, and public safety preservation. LADRT operates with a proactive, boots-on-the-ground approach—patrolling high-risk areas, educating the public, and serving as a first line of defense against environmental threats. Our presence ensures that Los Angeles’ natural areas remain accessible, safe, and resilient for generations to come.
