Protect Your Home from Wildfires – Schedule Your Free Assessment Today

Wildfires are an ever-present risk, especially in Southern California. LAIT911’s Wildland Fire Home Assessment Program provides homeowners with the knowledge they need to reduce wildfire risks around their homes and properties. Our trained professionals will conduct a thorough review of key areas to help improve your home’s resilience to fire.

The Wildland Fire Home Assessment is a free service offered by LAIT911 Fire, a public non-profit safety agency. Our team will evaluate potential fire hazards around your property and provide personalized recommendations to help safeguard your home. We focus on areas like your roof, defensible space, and exterior fire-resistant features.

How Does the Assessment Work?

  • Duration: The assessment typically takes about an hour.
  • Cost: It’s completely free of charge.
  • What We Assess: We’ll review your roof, defensible space, windows, siding, decks, propane tanks, and emergency access, among other fire hazards.
  • Requirements: Homeowners must be present during the assessment to provide access and discuss concerns with our assessors. Property location must be in a high fire risk area.

Assessments are conducted by experienced, and certified LAIT911 team members who specialize in fire safety and risk mitigation. Following the assessment, you’ll get a detailed report outlining our findings and recommended improvements. While the recommendations are voluntary, they are designed to enhance your home’s safety during a wildfire.

Scheduling is simple. Fill out the appointment request form on this page and we’ll notify you when we are in your area. Priority is given to higher-risk locations, and appointment wait times may be up to 3 months. We’ll provide an estimated timeframe and confirm before the visit.
