The Wildland Fire Home Assessment is a free service offered by LAIT911 Fire, a public non-profit safety agency. Our team will evaluate potential fire hazards around your property and provide personalized recommendations to help safeguard your home. We focus on areas like your roof, defensible space, and exterior fire-resistant features.

How Does the Assessment Work?

• Duration: The assessment typically takes about an hour.
• Cost: It’s completely free of charge.
• What We Assess: We’ll review your roof, defensible space, windows, siding, decks, propane tanks, and emergency access, among other fire hazards.
• Requirements: Homeowners must be present during the assessment to provide access and discuss concerns with our assessors. Property location must be in a high fire risk area.

Assessments are conducted by experienced, and certified LAIT911 team members who specialize in fire safety and risk mitigation. Following the assessment, you’ll get a detailed report outlining our findings and recommended improvements. While the recommendations are voluntary, they are designed to enhance your home’s safety during a wildfire.
