Key Responsibilities
Board Members: Board Members participate in governance, strategic planning, and advocacy.
- Strategic Planning: Participate in the development and implementation of strategic plans and initiatives.
- Governance: Provide oversight and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards and norms.
- Fundraising: Assist in fundraising efforts, including identifying and securing funding sources.
- Advocacy: Advocate for LAIT911’s mission and engage with community stakeholders to enhance the organization’s visibility and impact.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other board members and staff to support the organization’s programs and services.
Board Officers: A Board Officer holds specific executive roles and responsibilities, such as overseeing financial affairs or maintaining organizational records, in addition to participating in governance, strategic planning, and advocacy.
Treasurer:
- Financial Oversight: Oversee the financial affairs of the organization, including budgeting, financial planning, and reporting.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
- Reporting: Present financial reports to the board and stakeholders.
Secretary:
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of board meetings, decisions, and actions.
- Documentation: Ensure all organizational documents are up to date and accessible.
- Communication: Facilitate communication among board members and between the board and the organization’s staff.
