As an Incident Analyst, you will play a crucial role in monitoring and managing real-time incidents, providing accurate and timely reports to the public. Your primary duties include assessing high-risk situations, generating incident reports based on emergency dispatch audio feeds, and ensuring the public is well-informed about ongoing emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Incident Monitoring: Assess and determine when to send emergency alerts for high-risk situations.
  • Report Generation: Create new incidents based on emergency dispatch audio feeds.
  • Data Contextualization: Provide additional context to existing incidents using data gathered via emergency radio, social media, intelligence sources, or independent research.
  • Data Verification: Monitor and verify user-contributed data to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Expectations:

  • Physical and Mental Agility: Volunteers should be quick thinkers, able to handle stress, and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Possess strong communication skills to engage professionally with both team members and the public.
  • Reliability: Be dependable, with the ability to be available for duty calls on short notice.
  • Adaptability: Efficiently handle changing conditions and emergencies with a calm demeanor.
  • Commitment: Dedicate a minimum of 5-8 hours per week, with a strong desire to help others and improve community safety.

Training:

All volunteers undergo a comprehensive training program designed to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge. The training includes modules on emergency communication, data analysis, and incident reporting.
