As a Social Media & Content Creator, you will play a vital role in shaping the online presence and engagement of LAIT911 Fire. This is a skilled position ideal for individuals with a background in social media or content creation. Your primary responsibilities will involve managing our social media accounts, engaging with the community, and providing important safety updates and tips.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Management: Oversee and update our social media accounts, including Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, and our Disaster Services Community Group on Facebook.
  • Community Engagement: Interact with and engage our community, respond to inquiries, and foster a positive online environment.
  • Content Creation: Develop and post relevant content, including safety tips, alerts, and updates.
    Brand Representation: Ensure consistent and professional representation of LAIT911 across all social media platforms.

Expectations:

  • Time Commitment: Dedicate 5-10 hours per week to social media activities.
  • Remote Work: Most work will be performed remotely, with occasional attendance at in-person events or operations (1-2 times per month) throughout Los Angeles.
  • Professional Skills: Possess strong communication and content creation skills, with experience in social media management.
  • Adaptability: Be flexible and able to quickly respond to emerging situations and trends.
  • Community Focus: Show a strong desire to help others and improve community safety.

Training:

All volunteers will undergo a training program to familiarize themselves with LAIT911’s mission, values, and procedures. This training includes modules on emergency communication, social media best practices, and content creation techniques.

Location: Mostly remote/virtual, with attendance required at 1-2 in-person events or operations per month throughout Los Angeles city.
