What’s Included?

The EMT Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to LAIT911 volunteers to earn their EMT certification through selected accredited universities or training providers. The program covers full tuition and supports volunteers in gaining hands-on experience in emergency response.
Volunteers must have completed at least 350 lifetime hours with LAIT911, be active for at least 12 months, and be in good standing with no pending disciplinary actions. Commitment to serve for 12 months post-certification is also required.
The scholarship covers full tuition for EMT certification and reimburses one attempt at the National Registry EMT exam upon passing. Additional costs like textbooks, uniforms, and transportation are not included.
The fire and EMS fields are highly competitive, and having just a certification often isn’t enough to stand out.
