As an Event Marketing Specialist at LAIT911, you will play a pivotal role in representing our organization at community events, raising awareness about our mission, and engaging with the public to promote disaster prevention and community safety. Key Responsibilities

Event Planning and Coordination:

  • Event Representation: Represent LAIT911 at community events, fairs, and other public gatherings to promote our mission and services.
  • Booth Management: Set up and manage LAIT911’s booth or exhibit, ensuring it is visually appealing and informative.
  • Material Distribution: Distribute informational materials, brochures, and promotional items to event attendees.

Engagement and Outreach:

  • Public Engagement: Engage with event attendees, answer questions, and provide information about LAIT911’s programs and services.
  • Presentations: Deliver presentations or demonstrations to educate the public about disaster prevention and community safety.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with event organizers, community leaders, and potential partners.

Marketing and Promotion:

  • Promotional Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to maximize LAIT911’s visibility and impact at events.
  • Social Media: Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events and share live updates on social media platforms.
  • Feedback Collection: Gather feedback from event attendees to inform future event planning and marketing efforts.


  • Professionalism: Maintain a high level of professionalism and represent LAIT911’s values in all interactions.
  • Communication: Possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Organization: Demonstrate strong organizational skills to manage event logistics and ensure smooth execution.
  • Flexibility: Be adaptable and able to handle the dynamic nature of event marketing and community engagement.
  • Time: Volunteers should expect to spend 1-2, 8 hour shifts per month at LAIT911 events, typically taking place on weekends or evenings. 


  • Experience: Prior experience in event marketing, community outreach, or a related field is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Passion: A genuine passion for disaster prevention, community safety, and public service.
  • Availability: Ability to work weekends and evenings as needed to attend community events.
